Offering NICU Families FREE support

Having a baby in the NICU is one of the hardest things a parent can go through. Feeling worried, stressed, or tearful is a completely normal response, and not a sign you are doing anything wrong. All NICU parents - mothers and fathers alike - experience complicated feelings, so whatever you’re going through, please know you’re not alone in that experience.

The Canadian Premature Babies Foundation (CPBF) provides free personalized support for families of premature babies through peer support, group programs, and one-on-one services, ensuring every family can access the type of support that best meets their unique needs during their NICU journey and beyond.

Questions & Answers

Testimonials

"The program was so beneficial for my mental health. It was incredibly helpful to meet a group of parents who have similar experiences about raising our beloved preemies. I would highly recommend the program to any preemie parent looking for community and support."

"Participating in the Preemie Parent Collective has been life-changing for me. One of the most impactful aspects was how it gave me the motivation to take care of myself again. Before joining, I had spent months feeling so overwhelmed and drained that even simple things like dressing up or practicing self-care felt impossible. But being part of this community, surrounded by understanding and supportive people, helped me find the strength to prioritize myself as well as my child."

“I will forever be grateful for the Preemie Parent Collective. It helped me in navigating and validating my thoughts and emotions as I heal and move forward from a high-risk twin pregnancy, NICU chapter, and navigating being a first-time mother raising tiny newborn twins. Hearing other stories, connecting and over similar struggles made me feel less isolated on this unique motherhood path. I would highly recommend it for other preemie families.”

“Thank you so much for running this group. I found it so helpful! I have done therapy in the past and by far got more out of the 6 weeks doing this with you in the group setting with other mothers who have gone through the experience. I initially didn't think I would want to do a group setting but I can say it was far more beneficial that I would have imagined."
