See what NICUs across Canada are doing with regards to a reunion for graduate families (often called a "Preemie Picnic"). Spreadsheet will be updated as new information is gathered.

Many of our NICU families live far from the hospital, and many face financial challenges in being present to support their baby.

We offer several supports to help alleviate this.

Welcome bags include information about parking passes, that can reduce the cost of parking at the hospital compared to the regular daily rate.

Social workers give out discount parking day passes on an as-needed basis.

Our Parking Office facilitates the transfer of unused parking pass credits, from a NICU family who no longer needs them and wants to donate them, to another NICU family in need.

Our Transportation Support Program provides grocery or gas gift cards to offset the cost of travel to the NICU.

Every family whose baby is expected to be in Sunnybrook's NICU for at least five days (officially designated a "long stay") receives a welcome bag.
