This November, the Canadian Premature Babies Foundation (CPBF) will host its first-ever gala – Little Lights, Big Hearts, a national celebration of courage, compassion, and community.
The gala will bring together families, healthcare professionals, researchers, and corporate partners from across Canada to raise critical funds for programs that support premature babies and their families in the NICU and beyond.
Behind this celebration are stories like Julianne’s, a reminder of why CPBF’s mission matters.
Before her twins arrived prematurely, Julianne had little understanding of what life in a NICU would entail. Leaving the hospital without her babies was heartbreaking. During the following six weeks in NICU, her family received exceptional care from dedicated medical teams and found unexpected emotional support through CPBF.
From marking small milestones to finding community through parent groups, CPBF helped Julianne’s family feel less alone during a difficult journey. After her twins came home, Julianne began volunteering with CPBF to give back, helping ensure other families receive the same care and connection she once did.
Her story is just one of many that inspire the work CPBF continues today, work that the Little Lights, Big Hearts Gala will help sustain and expand.
This more than an evening, it will be a truly heart-felt experience. Your participation, through attendance, sponsorship, or donation, will directly support CPBF’s programs in education, advocacy, and peer connection for NICU families nationwide.
Together, we can build a brighter, more equitable future for premature babies across Canada.
