Ontario - Criteria for RSV Prophylaxis
1.
Premature babies born less than or equal to 32 completed gestational weeks and aged equal to and less than 6 months at the start of or during the local RSV season.
2.
Premature babies born 33 to 35 completed gestational weeks and aged less than or equal to 6 months of age at the start of or during the local RSV season, who DO NOT live in isolated communities, should have an RSV risk assessment done either by a NICU staff or the baby's community doctor.
3.
Premature babies born 33 to 35 completed gestational weeks and aged less than or equal to 6 months of age at the start of or during the local RSV season, who LIVE in isolated communities where pediatric hospital care is not readily accessible and ambulance transportation for hospital admission.
4.
Other medical conditions, for example, severe chronic lung disease, congenital heart disease, down syndrome, please speak to your health care provider.
