Northwest Territories - Criteria for RSV Prophylaxis
1.
Premature babies born less than 32 weeks gestation and are less than 6 months of age on December 1.
2.
Premature babies born 33-35 weeks gestation born on or after October 31 should have RSV risk assessment done by a NICU staff or the baby's community doctor.
3.
Premature babies born in isolated communities on or after October 31 should have RSV risk assessment done by a NICU staff or the baby's community doctor.
4.
Other medical conditions, for example, severe chronic lung disease, congenital heart disease, down syndrome, please speak to your health care provider.
