Funds for Parent Groups
Due to COVID-19, the microgrant program has been suspended.
We are running a microgrant program for hospitals and community organizations who wish to host peer support groups for NICU families.
Each year we are thrilled to learn of the important work being done for Canadian families of premature babies. Historically families have often felt a lack of support and a deep sense of loneliness and isolation during their baby’s hospitalization following their premature birth. Through collaboration with hospitals and community groups, we are helping to ensure families have a place to turn, peers to lean on, to ensure a more positive experience during an uncertain time.
We have provided hospitals and community organizations with funding to organize and facilitate peer support programs.
Through the sharing of refreshments, craft time, conversation, and education, these groups are providing parents a safe and welcoming place to turn while in and outside the neonatal intensive care unit.
